The Big Migration
There is nothing else in the world quite like the Mara River in July. I don't say that lightly — I've photographed wildlife across four continents and I still feel something shift in my chest when the first wildebeest reaches the bank and looks down. What happens next is pure instinct — theirs and yours. You have seconds to react, and whether you get the frame depends entirely on how prepared you are.
That preparation is what this ten days is about. We spend the mornings and evenings in private vehicles with some of the most knowledgeable guides in the Mara, and every evening we go through what we shot and why. I want you to come home with images that stand on their own — not just records of something that happened, but photographs that tell you something true about this place. The migration is the backdrop. The photography is the point. From

Oltepesi Tented Safari Camp
Oltepesi Tented Safari Camp is a specialist photographic safari camp in Maasai Mara, Kenya, established in 2017 based on a shared photography concept developed by Arnfinn Johansen and John Siololo. It is an eco safari camp, made for professional wildlife photographers and nature photo enthusiasts. The camp is located in Oltepesi Village, a genuine Maasai village about five minutes from the border to Maasai Mara National Reserve. With this unique location, you will also experience the Maasai people’s traditional and famous culture.
Accommodation is provided in spacious safari tents. While no rooms are identical in appearance, each is equipped with an en-suite bathroom, featuring a shower, washbasin, and flush toilet. Staying within a Maasai village rather than in a typical tourist lodge offers a unique chance to experience the pride and culture of the Maasai people firsthand. Their hospitality is truly remarkable and you can enjoy a traditional Maasai-style barbecue. What's Included
