Kabini, India

We had stopped the Jeep, waiting for a rustle in the thicket to reveal an elephant. For a full minute, our eyes were fixed on the road ahead—until I looked to the left. Just forty feet away, draped over a low branch, sat this leopardess. She had been watching us the entire time, her expression almost a challenge to our lack of observation. Unfazed by our presence, she remained perfectly still, allowing me the time to capture a 16-shot panorama. This technique preserves the staggering detail of her coat and the weight of her limbs against the wood, creating a portrait that feels as intimate as the encounter itself. This is one of the photographs that can be printed upto 10 feet wide, and it is highly recommended to print on Lumachrome Museum Acrylic at this size.
